Fitzmaurice Voicework® is a somatic approach to voice that “explores the dynamics between body, breath, voice, the imagination, language, and presence. Integrating physical experience and mental focus, the work develops vibrant voices that communicate intention and feeling without excess effort."
(from http://fitzmauricevoice.com/about.htm)

Su-Feh brings to her teaching of Fitzmaurice Voicework® the same kind of rigour and sensitivity that she brings to her movement classes. Using pleasure as a guiding principle, we will explore a voice that comes from a body in touch with its sensations. Fitzmaurice Voicework® gives us tools and strategies to listen to the wisdom of our biology while we stay present and connected to the world around us. We will learn to speak with more clarity and and with all our humanity.

“There are many practical benefits to improved vocal functioning. And, since breath and voice lie at the intersection of the material and the non-material, this work can also assist in creative, intellectual, and spiritual growth.” – from Breathing is Meaning, Catherine Fitzmaurice

Private lessons with Su-Feh are also possible and highly recommended. Fee negotiable. Please contact her directly at sufeh@batteryopera.com
